Very fun project for my Human-Computer Interaction Grad class at NYU Poly. I unrolled a mesh bun form from the drugstore and put two pairs of conductive fabric inside, one connected to a strand of white LEDs and the other a strand of red ones. I rolled it all back up, soldered some parts to a perfboard, and hooked it up to an Arduino to control the lights. When a metal hairpin goes through one fabric pair it acts as a switch to turn on pulsing red light; the other side turns on solid white. Cab ride was to see Marco Donnarumma’s amazing performance of Ominous using his Xth Sense software.
